To provide an easy-to-handle and inexpensive poppet valve with a poppet position detector, having high position accuracy without the degradation of position detecting performance while maintaining poppet valve performance.
A poppet 18 is slidably provided on a body 11. A needle valve 24 is displaced with the operation of an electromagnetic coil 32 for opening/closing the poppet 18 to communicate/shut off fluid passages 12, 13 with each other. In detecting the displacement position of the needle valve 24, a conductive rod 66 is connected to a connector 51 and a ring 40 provided on the body 11 is threaded to the conductive rod 66 while encircling the needle valve 24. A contactor 47 is fitted through the needle valve 24 for abutting on the side wall face of the ring 40. The contactor 47 has contact with the ring 40 with the resilience of a spring 48.
