Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce erosion and noise emission by suppressing cabitation generated when a poppet has moved to cause generation of a flow from the high to the low pressure side.
SOLUTION: A poppet valve is configured with a body 1, an upstream port 3 and a downstream port 4 formed at the body 1, a passage to put the two ports in mutual communication, a seat part 12 positioned on the way of the passage, a poppet 20 installed in the passage as stretching in the axial direction, and a spring 8 to press the poppet 20 to the seat part 12. A groove 19 stretching in the axial direction is formed at the periphery of the poppet 20 in a position upstream of the seat part 12 in the condition that the seat part 12 is shut by the poppet 20.
