Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure satisfactory contact state of electrolytic solution and conductive fine particles and increase capacitance, by dispersing the conductive fine particles in porous rubber.
SOLUTION: In a porous electrode, conductive fine particles are dispersed in porous rubber, and larger number of gaps are formed. The gaps are mainly constituted of continuous pores formed into a three-dimentional net shape. Various kinds of synthetic rubber such as butyl rubber, ethylene propylene diene rubber, nitrile rubber, silicon rubber and silicon fluoride rubber, and natural rubber may also be used as the porous rubber. Carbon based powder such as activated carbon and carbon black, conductive high polymer powder such as polyacetylene, polyparaphenylene, polyphenylene vinylene, polypyrrole and polyaniline, and metal powder such as Ni, Al, Ta, Ti, ruthenium oxide, vanadium oxide and lithium permanganate are used as the conductive fine particles are used as the conductive fine particles.
