Abstract:
To provide a porous fiber excellent in removing performance of a substance to be removed, and to provide a purification column into which an adsorbent material obtained by bundling the fibers is incorporated.SOLUTION: There is provided porous fibers having pores and one or more projections at an outer peripheral portion, and satisfying the following requirements (A) to (D): (A) a pore diameter distribution degree of the pores is 1.0 or more and 2.8 or less; (B) when the diameter of the inscribed circle is Di and the diameter of the circumscribed circle is Do in a cross section, a modification degree Do/Di is 1.35 or more; (C) a pore volume of the pores is 0.20 cm3/g or more; and (D) a ratio of aperture ratio X of the following expression is 6.0 or less: ratio of aperture ratio X=surface aperture ratio of projected portion/surface aperture ratio of recess portion.SELECTED DRAWING: None
