Abstract:

PURPOSE: To solve defects, i.e., heavy weight, bad workability, large heat capacity and bad heat efficiency in a heat resistant material(e.g. base plate) used for heat treatment in sintering formed article and to obtain a heat resistant material lowered in bulk density, minimized in heat capacity and causing no sintering reaction with a formed body as a spinel substance.

CONSTITUTION: A raw material preform obtained by adding an organic binder to a mixture of alumina fiber and magnesium oxide powder is made into sheet or formed into a prescribed formed article by various kind of forming methods and the sheet or the formed article is sintered at a prescribed temperature to provide a heat-resistant material having low density and capable of being lightened because of porous material, capable of making heat capacity small and unreactive to a bismuth dielectric material because of spinel substance.
