Abstract:
To provide a porous membrane capable of inhibiting deterioration due to radicals of a solid polymer electrolyte, when combined with a solid polymer electrolyte, and a composite membrane therewith.SOLUTION: A porous membrane comprises a porous base material, and a first deterioration inhibitor added to a surface or an inside of the base material. The fist deterioration inhibitor inhibits generation of radicals that induces deterioration of a solid polymer electrolyte combined with the base material, or, is made of ions of a metal element (A), and/or, a compound containing the metal element (A) having an action of eliminating the radicals. The composite membrane includes a solid polymer electrolyte and a porous membrane for reinforcing the solid polymer electrolyte. The composite membrane may further include a second deterioration inhibitor added to the solid polymer electrolyte. The second deterioration inhibitor is made of ions of a metal element (B), particles of the metal element (B), and/or a compound containing the metal element (B) that inhibit generation of radicals, or has an action of eliminating radicals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
