Abstract:

To provide a porous metal body that has extremely large specific surface area and can be used as an efficient filter and a catalyst carrier.

An anodized film is formed on the surface of the porous metal body which is composed when a plurality of pillar-shaped structures with smooth surfaces are three-dimensionally coupled into net-like structure. The porous metal body can be produced by a plating method, for example, the porous metal body can be formed from aluminum or an aluminum alloy produced by the plating method, or the porous metal body can be formed by performing aluminum plating on the surface of nickel or a nickel alloy produced by the plating method.
