PURPOSE: To produce the porous metallic film having good filter performance even in a high-temp. atmosphere, etc., by uniformly boring many specific through-holes in a metallic film.

CONSTITUTION: The many through-holes sized in ≤60μm are uniformly board at ≥500 pieces/cm2 density in the metallic film 160. The size and density of the through-holes can be arbitrarily selected by applications, etc., according to the above-mentioned conditions. For example, this film is utilized as a filter for removing the suspended matter of a waste water treatment of the temp. higher than room temp. in a 10 to 50μm range of the hole size, as a filter for filtering high-temp. oil mists in a 0.1 to 1μm range, and as a film for separating high-temp. gases in a 0.01 to 0.1μm.
