PURPOSE: To obtain a porous sheet having gas permeability, moisture permebility, proofness against leakage, good feeling and high strengths (tear strength and tensile strength at yielding point) and having such excellent productivity as to permit industirially safe high-speed continuous production and to obtain an absorbing article made thereof.
CONSTITUTION: A porous sheet prepared by orienting at least unidirectionally a sheet molded from a melt of a resin composition comprising 100 pts.wt. resin mixture comprising 63-90 pts.wt. crystalline polyolefin resin and 37-10 pts.wt. compound having an atmospheric evaporation temperature of 240°C or above and a melting point of 90°C or below and 7-40 pts.wt. inorganic substance which does not melt at the molding temperature of the resin mixture and has a mean particle diameter of 0.3-8μm and a maximum particle diameter of 13μm or below; and an absorbing article made therefrom are provided.
