Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an optional cubic shape excellent in general applicability, a smooth surface and high dimensional precision by subjecting a preliminarily compacted part composed of single or two or more different kinds of metallic fine pieces and obtd. by being pressurized while high electric current is caused to flow to repressurizing in a prescribed die. SOLUTION: A preliminarily compacted part obtd. by preliminary compacting is discharged as being in a heat-generated state from a compacting device. Then, the preliminarily compacted part is charged to a die 18 as it is in the case of being in a big final product and is cut to required dimensions and is charged to the die 18 in the case the final product is smaller than the preliminarily compacted part. In the die 18, it is repressurized under the pressure higher than that in the preliminary compacting and is compacted into an optional cubic shape to obtain the objective porous sintered body 21. Since a heater or the like for heating is not generally set to the die 18, the temp. of the preliminarily compacted part is reduced from the initial heat generating temp. Preferably, the inside temp. of the preliminarily compacted part at the time of being repressurized by the die 18 is controlled to at least about 10 to 15% of the m.p. of the metallic fine pieces as the raw material.
