To provide a porous unsaturated coordination metal complex capable of taking in not only a low molecular weight molecule but also a general compound as a reaction substrate and having a high catalytic activity or molecule-holding function, also a method for producing the complex having such activities/effects, a use of the complex as the catalyst, and a metal complex unit and organic ligands for constituting the complex.
This porous unsaturated coordination metal complex is obtained by joining the metal complex units constituted of the metal and organic ligands through a cross-linking metal and forming one dimensional or three-dimensional pores having ≥10 pore diameter by the joint, and also the metal in the metal complex unit is in an unsaturated coordination state.
