Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous water-absorbing gel composition having sensitivity to temperature, used for dehydration, etc., of slightly dehydrating slurry discharged from sewage-treatment plants, food-related plants, etc. and to provide a method for producing the gel composition.
SOLUTION: When a catalyst is added to an aqueous solution containing an N-alkylacrylamide, a crosslinking agent and a promoter in a nitrogen atmosphere at ≥35°C and these components are stirred and casting of the mixture and crosslinking of N-alkylacrylamide are simultaneously carried out, N-vinylpyrrolidone is used as a copolymer component.
