Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst possessing a high-bulk substituent at the meso-position of a porphyrin ring; and a method for efficiently manufacturing the same in a favorable yield.SOLUTION: The provided porphyrinic catalyst consists of a porphyrin compound expressed by the following formula: (Ris an optionally branched alkyl group or -COORgroup (Ris an optionally branched alkyl group); Ris a phenyl group optionally possessing a substituent); a method for manufacturing, in a favorable yield, this catalyst by introducing, to the meso-position of porphyrin, a phenyl group with which a halogen substituent is coupled and then substituting, with a high-bulk phenyl substituent, the halogen substituent by using a Suzuki-Miyaura reaction is also provided.
