To normally control equipment through radio communication between a receiver and a portable apparatus by effectively avoiding a communication trouble caused by noise without requiring large alteration at the receiver side.
Disclosed is the receiver 20 which is carried by a user of a vehicle 1 and transmits a radio wave including a signal for controlling the equipment provided at the vehicle 1 to a communication controller 10 enabled to receive a radio wave of a frequency in a specified frequency band. The receiver includes a VCO 23 which receives the radio wave belonging to the specified frequency band and a mobile-phone side microcomputer 21 which specifies the frequency of the radio wave transmitted from the VCO 23. The mobile-phone side microcomputer 21 is configured to be set to a frequency f1 which belongs to the specified frequency band and a frequency f2 which belongs to the specified frequency band and at which there is not disturbance by noise belonging to the specified frequency band in the case that, when the radio wave of the frequency f1 is received by the communication controller 10, there is the disturbance by the noise.
