To provide a portable bag for shopping which can be compactly housed in a cylindrical bag, which takes the place of a pocket type bag, by a single motion without folding the bag.
The portable bag for shopping consists of a bag having carrying straps, the cylindrical bag which houses the bag by pulling in the bag, and a pair of pulling strings which connect the bag and the cylindrical bag in such a manner that the bag can be pulled into the cylindrical bag. On the internal surfaces of the bag, a through band for each pulling string is fixed along the center of the width, and the proximal end of the pulling string which has been pulled out from the upper end of the through band is fixed to the upper end section of the bag. Both pulling strings which have been pulled out from the lower ends of the through bands are inserted in the cylindrical bag from the cylinder port and pulled out to the outside from the bag bottom. A ring-like ferrule is placed and fixed to the cylinder port so that the cylinder port may serve as a handle in such a manner that the pulling strings can be further pulled out of the pull-out port on the bag bottom, and the portable bag for shopping is constituted in such a manner that the portable bag can be pulled into the cylindrical bag while the bag is turned inside out.
