To provide a portable band saw excellent in workability.
The portable band saw 1 has a pair of the saw wheels 10 and 11 supported on both ends of a housing 2 in a rotatable manner, the band saw 12 stretched over a pair of the saw wheels 10 and 11, the main grip 3 provided in the vicinity of one end of the housing 2 and the sub-grip 4 provided in the vicinity of the other end of the housing 2 and is constituted so as to grip the main grip 3 and the sub-grip 4 to rotate the saw wheel 10 by a motor 13 to cut a material to be cut by the band saw 12. This portable band saw 1 is integrally equipped with a stand 5 for setting the main grip 3 on an upper side while setting the sub-grip 4 on a lower side to support both of the main grip 3 and the sub-grip 4 by oneself in an erected state.
