PURPOSE: To improve the safety and reliability on operation by detecting the rotation and shifting with a detector by noncontact method when an upper frame rotates and shifts by a specified angle at cutting of a work, and stopping a motor for driving a band by an operation unit.
CONSTITUTION: When a worker puts on the (start/stop) switch of an operation unit 23 mounted on the side face on the free end side of an upper frame 3 for start of cutting work, a capacitor start type motor 11 for traveling and driving a band is started. When the upper frame 3 is positioned in the position above a work, the upper frame 3 begins to rotate (go down) automatically by proper load (press load), and the work is cut with a traveling band 9. When the work is completely cut, the motor 11 for driving the band is stopped, based on the detection signal of a noncontact type detector consisting of the magnetism detection element provided at the upper frame 3 and the permanent magnet provided at the base corresponding to it.
