PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical safety device of a portable charger for sensing situations where a user arbitrarily or negligently separates a plug of a wall power supply during a charging operation, and for cutting off currents flowing via the portable charger.SOLUTION: A portable charger connected to a wall power supply for supplying electricity to be supplied from the wall power supply to a load includes: a plug to be inserted into a plug socket formed at the wall power supply; a wire configured to connect the plug to the load for supplying electricity to be supplied from the wall power supply to the load; a switch disposed between the plug and the wire for connecting or cutting off the flow of electricity flowing via the wire; a first sensing part for sensing whether or not a user has approached; and a control part for, when the plug is inserted into the plug socket, controlling electricity to be supplied via the wire to the load, and for, when the approach of the user is sensed via the first sensing part in a state that electricity is supplied, controlling the switch to cut off electricity flowing via the wire.
