Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a cigarette butt case which has better operability in lid-opening and closing and sealing properties of a case lid than those of conventional butt cases by adopting a tube as the main body and a short cylinder as a lid.
SOLUTION: A cigarette butt inlet 2 is opened on the side face of a main cylinder 1, as it is put aside to one end of the cylinder. 0rings 3 for tight sealing are fitted to the outer periphery of the main cylinder 1 on both sides of the inlet 2. A lid 4 of a short cylinder for closing the butt inlet 2 by compressing the O-rings 3 is fitted to the main cylinder 1, and a certain clearance is left between the lid 4 and the cylinder 1. The main cylinder body 1 is tightly closed on both ends with capping members 5, 6 having a flange of almost same diameter of the lid 4 and the lid 4 is slidably fitted on the outer periphery of the main cylinder 1 between the flanges. One of capping members 5, 6 is fixed and the other is made detachable to take out the butts from the other end.
