Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily adjust the cutting depth of a portable circular saw.
CONSTITUTION: A shoe 24 to support a saw on a work and a motor gear case housing 10 having a saw tooth 12 are rotatably connected by a back pivot 28. In front of the housing 10 a circular-arc-form depth slider 38 is fixed on the shoe 24 and slidably engaged with the depth slider 38 which is provided on the motor gear case 10. A clamp assembly 42 is provided toward the upper end of the depth slider 38 and almost fixed on it. The depth slider 38 and a depth guide are clamped on a locking knob 100 together to perform setting of the cutting depth adjustment.
