The portable circular saw consists of: a saw cover (1) for covering the saw blade (2); a connection part (11), provided to the saw cover (1), for connecting the saw cover (1) to the base (3); a hinge member (24) having a through-hole; a hinge holder (26) mounted on the base (3) and having two holes at spaced-apart positions; an insertion member (29) inserted through the through-hole and the two holes; and a screw member (31) for fixing the hinge member (24) to the insertion member (29) at a desired position. The hinge member (24) is movable in the axial direction of the insertion member (29) so that it can be fixed at the desired position.
