To provide a tool of a portable container which solves the problems that the tip of a fastening band cannot be caught when the band is place in a narrow place hardly accessible by the hand resulting in increasing time and labor, in cable wiring work, piping work, or work of winding a heat insulating material around an air-conditioner pipe by using the fastening band made of a flexible plastic tie to improve working efficiency, and also solves the problem that the fastening band put in a pocket of work clothes or in a work bag always pops out by its elasticity and gets lost.

A cylindrical container or a semi-elliptic container is equipped with an elongate grooved hole on part of its surface to insert the fastening band. Thus the band is spirally received and stored in a roll. If the container is put on clothes or a belt, it does not drop off during any vigorous work. In addition, the band is formed in a circular or U-shape when it is removed from the container, so that the tip of the band can be easily wound around an object to be fastened, inserted into a head and fastened.
