Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable cutting device which enables a handle to come close to a saw cover and thereby improves the operability.SOLUTION: A portable cutting device 1 comprises: a cutting blade 3 which is rotationally driven by a motor and cuts a work piece W; a housing 2 including a saw cover 4 which partially covers an outer periphery of the cutting blade 3 and a handle 22; a base part 6 connected with the housing 2 and where an opening 60 enabling the cutting blade 3 to protrude from a surface contacting with the work piece W when the base part contacts with the work piece is formed; and a protruding length adjustment mechanism 5 which adjusts a protruding length of the cutting blade 3 protruding from the opening 60. The protruding length adjustment mechanism 5 includes: a sub link 52 which supports the base part 6 so that the base part 6 may incline relative to the cutting blade 3; a main link 54 provided at the sub link 52; and a lever 55 which fixes the main link 54 in parallel with the cutting blade 3 at a given cutting depth. The main link 54 is disposed at an outer periphery of the saw cover 4.
