The portable cutting machine includes a motor, a body 100 incorporating the motor, a blade 103 which is driven to rotate by the motor and thereby cuts a material to be cut, a base 4 which is disposed on the lower side of the body and abutted and slid on the material to be cut during cutting work to support the body, a guide having a guide surface 2 abutted on the material to be cut and a guide bar 3 coupled to the guide surface to be connected to the base, and a locking member 1 for fixing the guide to the base. The portable cutting machine has a position adjustment mechanism for adjusting a distance between the guide surface and the body in the longitudinal direction of the guide bar and a parallelism fine adjustment mechanism for fine-adjusting the parallelism of the guide surface with respect to the blade side face.
