The portable cutting tool is equipped with a saw blade 3 for cutting a material to be cut, a cutting tool main body having a motor for rotationally driving the saw blade, a base 1 for guiding the cutting tool main body along the surface of the material to be cut and an inclination mechanism 31 for revolving the base centering around the support shaft 37 of the cutting tool main body to incline the base. The inclination mechanism 31 is equipped with a first arcuate member 35 which is provided adjacent to at least one of the front end part and rear end part of the base to be revolved centering around the support shaft along with the base and has a first guide hole piercing in the radial direction of an arcuate shape and provided with a means for fixing the revolving position of the base at the arbitrary position of the first guide hole with respect to the cutting tool main body.
