PURPOSE: To make the display contents of a liquid crystal display part easily visible by providing a portable electronic apparatus having the liquid crystal display part for displaying game contents, etc., with the liquid crystal display integrated with the main body of this portable electronic apparatus and the external liquid crystal display part attachable and detachable to and from the main body of the portable electronic apparatus.

CONSTITUTION: This portable electronic apparatus 10 consists of the main body 11 of the portable electronic apparatus, the liquid crystal display part 12 integrated with this main body 11 of the portable electronic apparatus and operating buttons 13 and enables a user to play games, etc., by displaying the contents of the games, etc., recorded on a recording medium, such as ROM built in the main body 11 of the portable electronic apparatus or an IC card made freely insertable and removable into and from the main body 11 of the portable electronic apparatus. The external liquid crystal display part 14 is made freely attachable and detachable to and from the main body 11 of the portable electronic apparatus via a cable 15. The external liquid crystal display part 14 is easily visible and is made convenient to carry by folding if the external liquid crystal display part 14 is formed as a thin plate form, is farmed larger in size than the liquid crystal display part 12 and is provided with a thin planar leg part 14a so as to permit changing of the angle of inclination.
