Abstract:
To provide a portable engine work machine capable of improving operability of acceleration.SOLUTION: A portable engine work machine (1) includes a control device (16) for controlling the rotational frequency by detecting the rotational frequency of an internal combustion engine (2). In a fast idle mode (M2), when a throttle valve (8) is in a fast idling position (8b), the internal combustion engine operates at the rotational frequency lower than predetermined clutch-in rotational frequency (R4), and when the throttle valve is operated to a full open position (8c), it operates at the rotational frequency higher than the predetermined clutch-in rotational frequency. In a normal idle mode (M3), when the throttle valve is in a full closed position (8a), the internal combustion engine operates at the normal idle rotational frequency. When the throttle valve is moved to the full open position (8c), the control device releases the normal idle mode and shifts to an acceleration mode (M4).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
