Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR AND ELECTRO-PHORTOGRAPHIC DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3244246
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a change with the lapse of time and to stably form a fine image by incorporating an oxygen-deficient metallic oxide and an antioxidant into an electric conductive layer.
CONSTITUTION: The electric conductive layer of this electrophotographic photoreceptor contains an oxygen-deficient metallic oxide and an antioxidant. Fine partiparticles of antimony oxide, indium oxide, tin oxide, etc., are used as the oxygen-deficient metallic oxide. A generally used reducing substance may be used as the antioxidant but a compd. represented by formula I is preferably used. In the formula I, R is a group represented by formula II, each of X1-X3 is H or methyl, X4 is a group represented by formula III and X5 is H, alkyl or alkenyl. The antioxidant prevents the oxidation of the oxygen-deficient metallic oxide with the lapse of time or by ozone generated in an electrophotographic process and prevents the rise of the resistance of the electric conductive layer.
