Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a portable illumination device capable of preventing the electric bulb from being unintentionally lit and replacing the electric bulb easily.
CONSTITUTION: A switching operation body 15 is formed with a push button section 17 as well as an operation piece 16 substantially shaped like a character U and having a force of elastic repulsion. A pair of locking grooves or trenches 15a are formed in both side faces of the switching operation body 15. Locking protrusions 18 which engage the locking trenches 15 are provided on a main body inwardly therefrom. The operation position of the switching operation body 15 can be locked by engagement of the locking protrusions 18 with their corresponding locking trenches 15a. When the push button section 17 is depressed, the locking trenches portions 15a and their locking protrusions section 18 are disengaged from each other to bring the switching operation body 15 to its operation position. This enables the performance of an on-switch 7b operation and an off-switch operation 7c.
