An image display device 1 includes a moving body 12 provided with a projection window 71 for leading a laser beam to the outside, and a shutter member 72 for opening/closing the projection window 71; and a storage case 11 for storing the moving body so as to be put in and taken out. In a non-use state in which the moving body is stored in the storage case, the projection window is blocked by the shutter member. On the other hand, in a use state in which the moving body is drawn out from the storage case, the projection window is opened.
