To provide a portable information processor capable of eliminating the labor of counting the number of commodities in the inventory work.
The portable information processor comprises an input means (an RFID reader 20k) for receiving the input of information for specifying the kind of commodities, a measuring means (a weight sensor 20i) having an engagement unit to be engaged with a part of a shelf with the commodities being displayed thereon to measure the weight on the engagement unit, a storage means (a ROM 20b) storing attribute information on the commodities, an acquisition means (a CPU 20a) for acquiring the attribute information corresponding to the information input from the input means from the storage means, and a specifying means (a CPU 20a) for specifying the number of commodities displayed on the shelf based on the attribute information acquired by the acquisition means and the measured weight by the measuring means.
