To provide portable information terminal equipment with which information displayed on a liquid crystal panel is observably extended with high resolution by reducing a generation amount of aberration to an extent that an observer can fully decipher the information.
The portable information terminal equipment has a coupling means 7 between a beam combiner 2 and a display part 1, a coupling means transfer means 8 for supporting the coupling means 7 so as to be transferable to the display part 1 and holding a state in which the coupling means is transferred by predetermined amount and an opening/closing support means 6 for supporting the beam combiner 2 openable/closable to the coupling means 7 and holding it at a predetermined angle of 45°<α<90°, the beam combiner 2 is positioned to the display part 1 so as to satisfy 1.5<z/p<5.0 and the beam combiner 2 has optical power for extending display information on the display surface 1a and reflecting it in the direction of observer's pupils, wherein α is an angle formed by virtual lines L1 and L2, p is length of a side of the display surface 1 in the direction of the virtual line L1 and z is paraxial distance between the center of the display surface 1a and the center of the beam combiner 2.
