To provide a portable information terminal in which communication rate is reduced by transmitting a simple message easily.
The portable telephone terminal comprises a controller performing general control, a wireless unit 12 performing transmission/reception, and a recorder for recording an address book. When an originator originates a call by adding an incoming sub-address "1234", the incoming sub-address "1234" set in call setting matches an incoming sub-address "1234" preset in the sub-address message association/registration section 17 of a recorder 13 in the portable telephone terminal 1, and the call can be terminated while displaying a message "I will go home now" on the message display section. The line is disconnected immediately after call termination.
