To provide a portable lighting tool which can be easily set like a lantern so as to be easy to carry, while it is used as a desk lamp by easily adjusting a lighting angle or a lighting direction to be arranged at a desired site, and yet, it can be made compact as a whole.

The portable lighting tool A includes a light-emitting portion 1, a power source portion 2 and arms 3 coupling the both. The light-emitting portion 1 has a light source 17 at a front part 12, the power source portion 2 contains a chargeable and dischargeable battery and a solar cell panel 26, and a projected end part 31 of each arm 3 is connected to a side further toward a lower face 25 side than a top face 24 side of the power source portion 2 so that the light-emitting portion 1 can swivel all over from a parallel attitude in which it is side by side with the power source portion 2 at an interval D to an attitude in which it rises toward an upper area of a front part 22 of the power source portion 2, and that, it can adjust its rising angle against the power source portion 2.
