Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable motor-driven cutting device capable of preventing a saw blade from shortening its service life and damaging floor etc. by preventing an electric motor from starting even if a start switch is turned on with a part of the lower section of the base of a saw blade exposed.
SOLUTION: The electric motor 2 is made to be able to start only while a safety cover 8 is brought into contact with a restraining means 10 which restrains the turning of the safety cover 8.
