PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable power circular saw having such a mechanism as to allow simple and accurate alignment of the cutting position of a work to be cut with a laser beam in a line form indicating the tip position of the saw blade. SOLUTION: The power circular saw of the portable type includes a body 5 having a built-in motor and holding rotatably the saw blade 3 driven by the motor, a base 1 installed under the body 5 and having an opening 1a to allow a part of the saw blade 3 to protrude downwards, and a saw cover 2 installed on the body 5 and covering a part of the saw blade 3, wherein ahead in the cutting direction of the saw blade 3 a laser oscillator 9 is installed to emit the laser beam 8 in the line form, and also a parallel displacement adjusting mechanism is installed to put the laser beam 8 from the laser oscillator 9 in parallel displacement in the direction of the rotational axis of the saw blade 3, and in the neighbouhood of the end of the base 1 relative to the cutting direction, a guide means 13 is installed at an upper position in the cutting direction of the saw blade 3, and the areas near the guide means 13 are irradiated with a part of the laser beam 8.
