Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable power cutter suitable as an edge cutting operation use wherein a cut start position of a sawtooth can be kept at a specific position irrespective of a change of an inclined angle of the sawtooth.
SOLUTION: For a portable circular saw equipped with a surface plate 1 having a slide face capable of sliding along a work to be cut, and a circualr saw main body 4 to which the sawtooth 3 rotating by an electromotive motor 2 is fitted, the circular saw main body 4 is arranged so that the sawtooth 3 is positioned outside from the opposed side end part of the motor of the surface plate 1, and constituted so that an angle can be adjusted between a right angle state in which a cut in direction of the sawtooth 3 makes a right angle to the surface plate 1, and a slanted state in which a cut tip side of the sawtooth 3 is slanted in a direction of protruding outside the surface plate 1. Then, a slanted axial line of the circular saw main body 4 in adjusting the angle is set to a crossing line P of an elongated face of the sliding face of the surface plate 1 and a face in the cut in direction of the saw edge 3.
