PURPOSE: To continuously and smoothly supply hydrogen to the main body of a fuel cell even in the case of generating power for a long time by preventing a films of condensed water from being formed within a pipeline from the main body of a fuel cell to a catalytic burner.
CONSTITUTION: The main body 2 of a fuel battery for generating power with air and hydrogen and a catalytic burner 9 for burning unreacted hydrogen which is a part of the hydrogen supplied to the main body 2 of a fuel cell but has not contributed to the reaction are accommodated within a case 1, and also the catalytic burner 9 is arranged on the air supply side of the main body of a fuel cell. In such a portable power supply, a pipeline 22 for transferring unreacted hydrogen from an unreacted hydrogen outlet 21 in the lower end of the main body 2 of a fuel battery to the catalytic burner 9 is extended over to a hydrogen inlet 20 in the upper end of the main body 2 of a fuel cell from the unreacted hydrogen outlet 21 along the side surface of the exhaust gas side of the main body 2 of a fuel cell, and at the same time a slope inclining downward to the catalytic burner 9 from the extended end.
