To provide a handle rotating device capable of operating a large round handle having a relatively low frequency of use as once to several times per year with a minimized labor and a large force in a short time.
This device comprises a body machine frame 10, an attachment and detachment device to be attached to and detached from the round handle H for operating the machine frame, and a drive unit 40 for relatively driving the round handle in the circumferential direction of the round handle H. A body handle 12 is protrusively fixed to the machine frame 10, and the attachment and detachment device is formed of a fixed guide roller 21 with groove and a movable guide roller 22 with groove positionally movable thereto. The drive unit 40 comprises a friction type drive roller 41 which can be pressed in contact with at least one of one side, both sides, and circumferential surface of the circumferential part of the round handle H when grasping the round handle H for operating the machine frame 10, and an air motor 43a loaded on the machine frame is connected to its drive shaft 42 through or without a reduction gear 44.
