Abstract:

To provide a portable telephone device for eliminating or reducing a service invalidating state.

The position registration of a mobile unit in a certain arbitrary PLMN is normally completed, and a stand-by state is set in a step S1, and a service is generated in the state in a step S2, and when it is detected that the service is not normally provided due to any reason from a mobile communication network in steps S3 and S5, peripheral PLMN retrieval is automatically operated by a mobile unit side in steps S7 and S8, and the pertinent PLMN is switched to a certain arbitrary PLMN so that the service can be provided to a user.
