The portable telephone 102 has a transmitter 6 that generates a 1st voice signal, a transmission circuit that transmits a 1st radio signal resulting from modulating the 1st voice signal via an antenna 1, a reception circuit that demodulates a 2nd radio signal received by the antenna 1 to generate a 2nd voice signal, a receiver 9 that sounds the 2nd voice signal, a printed circuit board 5 on which the reception circuit and the transmission circuit are mounted, a shield case 4A that suppresses electromagnetic wave interference between the printed circuit board 5 and the antenna 1 and the surface of which is conductive, a radio wave absorbing body 31 that is in contact with an area 49 of the surface of the shield case 4A placed toward a body head 91 in the case of a speech, and an elastic member 21 that is placed between an enclosure 10 and a radio wave absorbing body 31 to press the radio wave absorbing body 31 to the area 49 of the shield case 4A into close adhesion thereto.
