Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the influence of electromagnetic waves to human body and increase antenna efficiency while maintaining lightweight and compactness of a portable telephone.
SOLUTION: A dielectric sheet 15 is installed in the chassis internal wall of a portable telephone 2 that neighbors to a human head 3. The dielectric sheet 15 is installed in a state spread between a whip antenna 7 and the human head 3 and allows to reduce a SAR value by reducing electromagnetic wave energy that reaches to the human head 3. It allows to maintain high antenna efficiency even while reducing the SAR value and obtain a successful telephone conversation environment by selecting the values of the real part and the imaginary part of the specific inductive capacity of the dielectric sheet 15.
