Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device that includes a projection capacitance type touch panel and that can suppress variation in output sensitivity of coordinate information, based upon a variation value of capacitance detected by a touch sensor, due to a difference in use state.SOLUTION: In a portable terminal device 1, a reference value calculation section 175 calculates a reference value representing a reference of capacitance detection capability of a touch sensor 112 on the basis of capacitance that the touch sensor 112 detects in response to a touch operation for reference value calculation on a display surface. Then a coordinate information output section 171 generates and outputs coordinate information corresponding to a position touched by the touch operation when the capacitance that the touch sensor 112 detects in response to the touch operation on the display surface is equal to or larger than the reference value.
