To provide portable terminal equipment in which a cover member of an external connection terminal is relatively easily opened though in a simple structure, the number of components is reduced and the scratch of a key is prevented by forming a clearance between two case bodies in folding the portable terminal equipment.

The cover member 13 which protects the external connection terminal 12 provided in the foldable portable terminal equipment 1 is constituted of a lid 14 covering the external connection terminal 12, a tongue piece 15 extended from the lid 14 with slack, and a projection 16 formed on the tip of the tongue piece 15. The cover member 13 is attached to one case body 3 by inserting the projection 16 of the cover member 13 to a hole 3c opened on a case body inner surface 3a and projecting it and the clearance for preventing the other case body 2 from sliding with the key 8 is formed by the projection 16 projected from the case body inner surface 3a.
