When a portable terminal is set to a photographic mode with camera, acceleration applied to the portable terminal is detected by an acceleration sensor 6; and when acceleration of a given value or greater is detected by an acceleration detection unit 7, the portable terminal is turned into a photographing-inhibited state for a certain period. In addition, if the acceleration of a given value or greater is detected during a period, starting immediately after the photographing, until elapse of a certain period, image data obtained by the photographing is disabled from storing or displaying.
