Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an umbrella cap which, by simply covering the water-retaining cap on a ferrule, retains rain water from the umbrella and prevents the floor indoors from being soiled when the closed umbrella is brought indoors from the rain outside, and which is easily put on and removed from the umbrella, with repeated use made possible, for example.SOLUTION: The water-retaining umbrella cap of the present invention includes: an elastic clip which, by pushing and releasing it with fingers, can be opened to clip the ferrule or removed from it; an opening peg which is connected with the clip to open the mouth of a water-retaining bag in a manner detached from the closed umbrella; and the water-retaining bag which is supported on the opening peg, which always opposes to the umbrella grip, facing downward to shut off water when the umbrella is opened in rain, and facing upward to retain water flowed in when the umbrella is closed and brought indoors from the rain outside.
