Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the structural members required for a choke action and simplify the structure and assembling of a choke valve by providing a choke flange receiving the suction member of the combustion air of a carburetor and supporting an operation lever, coupling an action knob with one end of the operation lever, and coupling the other end with a lever.
SOLUTION: A choke flange 23 having a center opening 24 receiving the end section of a suction pipe 25 is fixed on the inlet side of a carburetor 16. The folded portion 37 of a hooked end section 40 consisting an operation lever 38 is coupled with a long hole 36 of a lever 35. The operation lever 38 contains a nearly U-shaped member 39 bent from a wire and having a straight center portion, a hooked end section 40, and an end section 41 bent on the other side and connected to an action knob 3 to form a dovetail joint and a force joint. The nearly U-shaped member 39 of the operation lever 38 is received on the shaft bearings 30, 30' arranged on the arms 42 of the chock flange 23.
