PURPOSE: To provide a charcoal kiln which can be easily and portably installed, is pollution-free, and can fully utilize the heat of combustion by combining a portable door, a fire door, a ceiling, a kettle, unnecessary liquid collection and combustion means, and central temperature control means with each other so as to form an assembly having a specified function.
CONSTITUTION: The body 11 of a charcoal kiln which forms a carbonization chamber 10 is provided with a fire door 12 in front, a flue 13 communicating with the carbonization chamber 10 in back, at least one kettle 14 provided along the periphery of the body 11 and transferring heat to the inside wall, and a water supply tank 15 for the kettle 14. The kiln is adapted so that not only the pyrolignous acid, etc., produced inside the kiln but also the pyrolignous acid, etc., adherent to the flue 13 may flow into the lower end of the flue, and may be withdrawn from the kiln. Because the burning temperature for obtaining good charcoal varies with the kind of the material used for charcoal making, i.e., a carbonaceous material, a temperature sensor 45 detects the temperature in the kiln, the water temperature in the kettle, etc., which are factors for confirming the combustion state and the carbonization state, and they are centrally controlled in a sensor box 46.
