To provide a lane POS system provided with an indicator which indicates the operation state of a POS(point of sales) terminal in accordance with its operation state.

The control part of the POS terminal transmits power connection requests 25a and 25b after being switched to a sales open mode 21 to terminate the switching processing and after being switched to a pause release mode 23 to terminate the switching processing. It transmits power disconnection requests 26a and 26b before being switched to a pause mode 22 to start the switching processing and before being switched to an adjustment mode 24 to start the switching processing. A software switch connected to an electric lamp 27 of the indicator supplies power to light the lamp when receiving the power connection request 25a or 25b. It breaks power to extinguish the lamp when receiving the power disconnection request 26a or 26b.
