Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the display of a commodity name from being interrupted and to eliminate a need to register a name abbreviated of the commodity name which has the number of digits exceeding the display range.
CONSTITUTION: This POS terminal equipment is provided with a PLU table 162 where at least a commodity name and the price are stored correspondingly to each commodity key, a display device 120 where they are displayed by a bit map, a CPU 140 which retrieves the PLU table 162 based on an inputted commodity key to perform the commodity sales register processing, and a display control part 144 which varies the size of display characters in accordance with the preliminarily determined display range of the display device 120 to display the retrieved commodity name.
